About

Hi, I’m Mitch Barton.

GO-EZ is my independent operational-excellence practice. I help small businesses and nonprofits find the real constraint, fix it with a working tool, and walk away leaving something that keeps running.

My bias is toward simple, self-contained fixes: file-based where possible, no fragile integrations to babysit, maintainable by the people who were already doing the work. The goal is always the same — make improving your business easy.

Background

Two decades of fixing operations at scale.

Before going independent, I worked as a business-transformation executive, leading operations, analytics, and process improvement across highly regulated, multi-state industries. I’ve overseen production and cross-functional operations in more than 15 regulated states, and led a five-state, twenty-location portfolio.

Along the way I cut more than $10M from regulated-goods manufacturing through process-flow optimization and waste reduction — applying data and systems thinking to drive durable, scalable growth.

I’m also an applied-AI practitioner. I design and deploy agentic AI and automation that run live business operations — from financial reconciliation to data pipelines and executive reporting. As a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, I apply and teach Theory of Constraints as my core framework for system optimization, grounded in analytics and project management.

GO-EZ is where I bring that same discipline to smaller organizations — the ones that don’t need a binder of recommendations. They need the problem to go away and stay away.
